Educators Who Build

Educators Who Build

Educators Who Build brings together educators who want to build with AI, not only talk about it.

We are open to anyone curious about how to use AI tools to improve their teaching, from complete novices to seasoned experts. The goal is to come together to inspire and support each other as we explore how to use these powerful new tools, and to grow a community among the people using them.

See It in Action

One evening at a session, from a participant's point of view: RSVP, check in with an AI interviewer, find the right people, ask the room's AI, demo your work on the projector, and tell us how it went.

A re-enactment: Demo University and its people are invented, as are Maya's inbox and her quiz builder. Every other screen is the real site, and the AI's words are its real replies, recorded once and replayed.

What a Group Gets

Each institution gets its own site, at your-campus.educatorswhobuild.org, with everything in the film. Organizers run it from a browser.

Events and RSVPs
A page for each session with the time, the place, a map, and calendar links. People RSVP with a name and an email: no accounts, no passwords.
Mailing lists
Write to everyone coming to a session, everyone who has said yes to one, or everyone who asked for updates, from your own email. Every list has one-click unsubscribe.
AI check-in
People join the room with a four-letter code on the projector and tell an AI interviewer what they teach and what they want to build. Their answers become a profile the room can see; the conversation stays private.
Suggested connections
The AI suggests who should talk to whom, with the reasons written to each person, and the projector groups the room by what people are working on.
Room chat
A chat for everyone in the room. Ask @ai a question and it answers for all to see, knowing who is there and what they're building.
Screen sharing
Anyone can put their screen on the projector from their own laptop, and everyone else sees it on theirs. No cables, no app to install.
Demos
People sign up to show what they built. The site plans the time back from the end of the session, chimes when it's time, and calls each presenter up in turn, with a clock.
Music
Anyone can add YouTube songs or playlists, and the projector plays them, taking turns by who added them.
Feedback
Afterward, everyone who took part gets a short AI interview about how it went. Answers are anonymous unless people choose otherwise; organizers read summaries and an overview.
